A Walk Through Paris: Montmarte

Other the next few days I'll post some photos of our trip to Paris. Today is a walk through Montmarte!

Very naughty eating...
Not our escargot... I creep on other people's tables for photos. Shhh

The Palace of Versailles

While in Paris we took a day trip to Versailles to see the palace grounds. It's an amazing trip and will take you all day. Wear comfortable shoes, dress warm if it's November, and have fun! Remember to buy your ticket online, and get the passport so that you can see everything... The Palace, Queen's Hamlet (my favorite), etc. Click here for tickets, and just take the RER train (C) in center of Paris to Versailles. So simple.

Marie Antoinette's Bed...
...and her latrine.

And my favorite walk was through the Queen's Hamlet. Here is a little blurb about it...

Marie-Antoinette, seeking to flee the Court of Versailles, ordered the construction of her hamlet in 1783. There, she regularly found the charms of country life, surrounded by her lady's companions. It became a veritable farm, directed by a farmer, whose products supplied the kitchens of the Palace.

Loved this! Have you ever been to Versailles?
