I recently read a great book on back pain. Ironically, while I was reading this book I threw my back out doing absolutely nothing. It was the most painful my back has ever felt in my life. It was this sharp, throbbing pain. Felt as if I was being stabbed. I know, dramatic. However, the exercises in this book definitely helped me when it was the worst. I woke up at 4 am one morning and did these exercises in the dark. Between this, rest, and massage therapy I am happy to say that I am about 95% better after a week and a half. It was a pulled muscle.
Exercises like cat stretches, planks, and other moves did wonders for immediate relief in getting rid of a lot of the pressure I was feeling. All of the Advil in the world wouldn't change a thing, but a little movement did.
This book includes weeks of exercises to build up on and ways it can not only help heal things physically, but also mentally.
If you have back pain, I highly recommend this book because it helps people suffering with other options besides spending too much money and time on doctors, meds and surgeries when all you need is something "unconventional" and natural.
